I am taking a journey through all the albums I own - records, cassettes, CDs, and digital. In this process, I'd like to reflect on my thoughts and feelings about the music and learn a bit about each. Although I listen to tons of music, I don't know much about the creators of it, so this will be an opportunity to learn more about them too. (I'm both excited and afraid.)

Clear expectations! What this journal does not include (currently): all of the different genres to describe a single thing, context-based reviews which dive into the artist's history or the "real" meaning of the music, audiophile type of stuff (I like music but I'm not up and up on the specifics). This is written from my perspective based on how the music makes me feel. Reviews are quite personal based on my experience, but they still might be fun to read, and you still might find a few recommendations!

I don't take requests. The purpose of this project for me is to both organize and listen to my existing music library, not to find and review new music. It may evolve in the future but I have hundreds of albums to get through so not any time soon!
