I got a cat! She is ~8 years old and has been at the shelter for 4 months. She’s extremely anxious which is going to be a little difficult for me since she’s my first cat and I don’t know what I’m doing.
According to the surrender forms, she was picked up off the street in an alley as a kitten (in July) and taken home to live with a woman, man, and their small dog. Fast forward 8 years and the woman dies. The man clearly has never liked the cat. He writes on the form that the cat is “not acting right,” pees everywhere, scratches him, etc. After a few months of this, he surrendered her, and then 4 months later I scooped her up.
I’ve never had a cat and I haven’t spent a lot of time around cats in my life, so this is an adventure for us both! Follow my cat on Instagram!
